WHO CAN STAND BEFORE HIS COLD?
The weather we've been having lately reminds me of a Bible verse:
"He casteth forth his ice like morsels; who can stand before His cold?" (Ps. 147:17)
It actually gets so cold in some places that diesel fuel congeals in fuel tanks and takes on the consistency of jelly.
That's cold!
The 'Second Law of Thermodynamics' (A very well known and universally recognized scientific law), says that all material things tend toward getting old and wearing out.
Energy goes from usable to unusable (You burn up a log, get heat from It, and then all that's left is ashes and gasses in the air.). It goes from hot to cold, and stays that way.
According to this law, then, the whole universe is slowly getting cooler, not warmer, and that includes our sun and our earth.
However, there's no need to worry because the One Who was big enough, strong enough, and wise enough to make everything will surely take care of everything.
